All referrals are personally reviewed and triaged by Dr Salfinger, DR ACTON and dr ladanchuk. All suspicious and biopsy confirmed malignancies will be reviewed within 1 week.

Triage Guide Certain benign conditions may have longer waiting periods to obtain an appointment so as to maintain priority for the patients with proven or suspicion of having a malignancy.

Triage Guide
  • New confirmed/highly suspicious of malignancy - see within 1 week
  • Clinically urgent due to symptoms - see within 1 to 2 weeks
  • Low index suspicion for malignancy - see within 2 to 3 weeks
  • Complex benign - see within 4 weeks
  • Uncomplicated benign - next available apt
  • We aim to see all new cancer patients within 1 week.
  • Complex but not overtly malignant ovarian masses will usually be seen in about 2 weeks.
  • High grade abnormal pap smears with 2-4 weeks.

Please contact Dr Salfinger, Dr Acton or Dr Ladanchuk directly if you believe your patient need to be seen by a particular time to discuss their case and how to best expedite their care.

To make the best of the patients and to help their journey please ensure that they have relevant investigations available. Our Nurses can provide important information on what investigations we usually require for most conditions.

Ovarian masses should ideally have at least Ca-125, Ca 19.9 and CEA check before their appointment. All confirmed or suspicious malignancy cases should have a CT scan of abdomen and pelvis (+/- chest). If you have any queries about what investigation are required please contact the rooms.
